Perdita

Perdita is a female, small to medium size mix doggy of around 1 year old, soon to be sterilized. One night Perdita was tossed by a passing car at the center of the village of Akrotiri along with her sister and brother. Of course the car just shut the door and rushed away… this is another common practice of abandonment… driving the unwanted pet to a location from where it cannot walk back and where the locals do not know to whom this pet belongs to… So one just gets rid of his problems -so easily- by creating other problems and the cycle of the stray animals never ends… Fortunately Perdita and her siblings had been well socialized among people and other dogs so they just followed their natural instinct and approached the villagers with their wagging tails and their wondering eyes. Thankfully they were taken care of and soon SAWA was called to collect them.  Perdita is now living in the Refuge at the premises of the small size doggies. She is a sweet girl always gentle and forgiving but what strikes us most in Perdita is the constant look of gratefulness in her eyes and her unconventional love to humans.
