Sabrina

Sabrina is a sterilized, female Epaniel Breton around 7 years old. Sabrina was tossed over the Refuge fence and we found her one morning sitting in a corner by herself terribly confused and shocked… As usual we opened her mouth to make an estimate of her age…. But in Sabrina’s case we saw something for the first time that was really striking… her front upper and lower teeth were missing! After a check at our Vet the diagnosis is that she had probably been chewing stones or biting on the bars of a cage for years and years… Sabrina was extremely thin when she entered and we were concerned that she would not be able to chew her food in order to survive. But fortunately the rest of her teeth work perfectly well and our poor girl has gained weight and is feeling the warm sensation of having her belly full after who knows how long. Sabrina came out of her shell very quickly and has made new friends. She also enjoys the time she spends with the volunteers and all the hugs she receives… something new to her! Sabrina has many long years ahead and if you are willing to give this dog a chance you will never regret it!
